The Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis (BAMSL) hosts its annual Law Day and Awards Ceremony from 11 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Mon., May 2 at the Ritz-Carlton St. Louis in Clayton, Mo.

BAMSL is honored to have as its keynote speaker former U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill. BAMSL also will celebrate an important milestone in the organization’s history as the first millennial president, Anne-Marie Brockland, will be sworn in.

Additionally, current BAMSL President Bob Tomaso and BAMSL Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Chair Lauren Collins each will recognize the work of several exceptional lawyers who volunteered their time and efforts during their bar year, which ran from May 1, 2021, to April 30, 2022.

Law Day, held annually on May 1, is a national day set aside to celebrate the rule of law. Law Day provides an opportunity to understand how law and the legal process protect our liberty, strive to achieve justice and contribute to the freedoms that all Americans share. The 2022 American Bar Association’s Law Day theme is “Toward a More Perfect Union: The Constitution in Times of Change.” Law Day is an opportunity to host or participate in discussions about law and its role in society. Resources are available for schools, state and local bar associations, civic organizations, and others to plan programs, lessons and activities for a variety of public audiences, in-person and virtually.
