Danny Barnett-Foster, Esq., assistant executive director at BAMSL, has been elected to serve as chair of the Operations and Member Services Section of the National Association of Bar Professionals (NABE). His one-year term will begin on August 7. In addition, he is serving a one-year term on the NABE board of directors as a section representative.
“Danny’s legal background and extensive experience in nonprofit operations, combined with his proven leadership ability and commitment to service, make him an ideal fit to chair NABE’s Operations and Member Services Section,” said Susan McCourt Baltz, executive director of BAMSL.
The Operations and Member Services Section of NABE is for bar association professionals who work in finance, human resources, information technology and member services. The people in this section share knowledge, resources and best practices.
“NABE provides a lot of resources,” said Barnett-Foster. “It’s great to connect with other people doing similar work who are facing similar challenges and opportunities and being able to talk about that.”
With a decade-long membership in NABE, Barnett-Foster brings a wealth of experience to this leadership role, having previously served as vice-chair and secretary within the section.
“I was active in the section, but I hadn’t thought about a leadership position,” Barnett-Foster said. “Then the section leader asked me to step up into leadership and I couldn’t say ‘no.’ I have gotten so much out of NABE and being part of this section has been such a good and worthwhile experience that I wanted to give back.”
Barnett-Foster, a St. Louis resident, earned his J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law and MBA and bachelor’s degrees from Columbia College.
