In response to the urgent need for assistance due to the SNAP program (food stamps) being severely and negatively impacted by the government shutdown, BAMSL members and friends supported the food drive hosted by BAMSL’s Attorneys Against Hunger Committee and the Law Library Association of St. Louis.

BAMSL members and friends in the St. Louis legal community donated thousands of dollars worth of food and supplies and also made tens of thousands of dollars in financial contributions, including a $50,000 donation by the Dowd Bennett Law Firm, to help people in need during this time. Thanks also to Simon Law for their generous donation. The total amount raised is more than $58,000. Meals on Wheels of Greater St. Louis received a $25,000 donation.
