Please join the WILP Section on Wednesday, April 1, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at the BAMSL Headquarters for a beverage and donate some clothes to the St. Louis Suit Project.

The nonprofit organization accepts gently used professional business attire for men and women, including suits, sport coats, blazers, slacks, skirts, pantsuits, button-down long-sleeve undershirts, and work-appropriate dresses (interview and office attire). They ask that donated items be clean and in good condition, with no stains, rips, or holes.

Civil dockets across Missouri continue to face increasing pressure from rising caseloads, complex discovery demands, and protracted litigation timelines. While courts and litigants alike feel the strain, meaningful settlement engagement remains one of the most effective and underutilized tools for promoting efficient case resolution. Insurance defense attorneys occupy a unique position that allows them to influence whether settlement discussions serve as a genuine path toward resolution or merely a procedural waypoint.

The U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Missouri has an opening for the position of Term Law Clerk. It is a part-time position and eligible for fully remote. This position’s duration is a one year and one day appointment with possibility of extension, and the term will begin as soon as possible.
